FAQs
What’s the dress code?
Friday night, we’re going for dressy-casual (we’ll be at a brewery, so no need to be uncomfortable). The ceremony and reception on Saturday is black-tie optional and we’re hoping y’all will go all-out. Tuxes, bright colors, funky dresses, florals and patterns encouraged!
where should we stay?
We have a small block of hotel rooms reserved at The Penny in Williamsburg and the wedding party will be located nearby at The Arlo, but guests are welcome to stay elsewhere. Other great options in the neighborhood include The William Vale, The Hoxton, and The Wythe. If you are unfamiliar with New York, we highly recommend your staying in the Williamsburg area.
what are the transportation options?
We will not be providing group transportation to or from the wedding venue. If you are staying in Williamsburg, the best option will be a cab, Uber or Lyft and will take about 15 minutes.
There is some street parking near the venue, but driving is not recommended.
If you’re interested in taking public transportation, both the NYC subway and bus systems now operate on OMNY tap-to-pay. Google maps will give you the best directions, but you must build in at least 15 additional minutes for delays.
When planning your trip back from the venue, please note that yellow cabs do not frequent the venue location, so you will need to call yourself an Uber or Lyft home.
Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?
We kindly request an unplugged ceremony so please refrain from any cell phone or personal camera use throughout the ceremony. We will have a professional photographer and videographer capture the entire event.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones, but unless otherwise discussed, please leave the kiddos at home.
will there be an open bar?
Hell yeah 🤘
