it’s pretty cool here.

It’s New York City, so there’s plenty to do. We’ll drop a few of our faves, but we’re excited for y’all to explore and get to know (and hopefully love) our home as much as we do.

If you need advice or are looking for something specific, let us know!

MUSEUMS

There are endless museums and galleries to explore, but a few of our favorites include:

The Met

Spotted: Tim make a proposal on the steps! Will she accept? XOXO

The Whitney

Free on Fridays, unless you have better plans

The Brooklyn Museum

See Hannah’s fave The Dinner Party!

The Transit Museum

Tim = big bus guy

NOT-MUSEUMS

If you’re interested in a less indoors activity:

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

NYC is home to two beautiful botanical gardens. You’re welcome to explore the one located in The Bronx, but the Brooklyn location will be closer to our venue and recommended hotels.

Prospect Park

Located next door to the Botanical Gardens and Brooklyn Museum, Propsect Park is the (second) best park in NYC. Enter at Grand Army Plaza for easy subway access. Come Saturday morning for the Green Market or arrive any day before 9AM to hang with the neighborhood’s best off-leash dogs.

Washington Street

The most photographed street in NYC and a great place to start exploring DUMBO. Check out Jane’s Carousel, the Time Out Market, and an outpost of the Graffeo’s favorite pizza spot, L&B Spumoni Gardens.

Shopping in Williamsburg

If you’re looking to spend the day exploring cute shops near our recommended hotels, venture out through Williamsburg. We have a list of spots we love, but there’s always new places to find!

drinks

We can’t miss an opportunity to brag about our great taste in beer.

Evil Twin Brewing - DUMBO

Home of the longest-named beers we’ve ever seen as well as excellent sours and IPAs.

EBBS Brewing Co - Williamsburg

Chill scene, good beer, great grilled cheese.

Finback - LIC

We’re not saying you have to go to Queens, but if you want the best beer in the city… then you do.

Other Half - Domino Park

Bonus points if you stop by either Roberta’s for pizza or OddFellows for ice cream, both right next door.

Food

A couple highlights that we think will be accessible crowd-pleasers.

Roberta’s

Excellent pizza and Italian, neighbor to some of our favorite beer and ice cream!

Reunion

Popular Israeli spot with tasty Mediterranean staples and a homey vibe.

Bernie’s

A nostalgic combo of red booths, glass lampshades and great mozzarella sticks.

Cozy Royale

Relaxed tavern with an excellent burger and martini.

Honorable mentions

This list has more challenging reservations or spots that are further away, but if you have some extra time, they’re totally worth it!
